when I was in sixth grade it was all just fun and games
junior high came as a scary disturbing awakening
getting stuck with needles in the hall
they spit on my face, held me down and squeezed my balls
as the other kids walked by and just laughed at it all

the institution's a disgrace ya it ain't no place for kids
the establishment wants us all to all give up and just cave in
bury your feelings, pretend you have no needs
don’t be human, just be a slave to society
but now, I have eyes to see

that all that we need is empathy

cuz when we don't see our feelings and our needs clearly
we tend to react with irrational strategies
so I just need ya to be there to help me to remember
